MEET TAREQ
Tareq is a land steward, community organizer, gardener, naturalist, and artist serving in the environmental and social justice field. They’ve been living on Duwamish Territory and drinking Cedar River water since 2018.
They are dedicated to composting the culture of normalized extraction, separation, and violence and to feeding the ancestral soils of reciprocity and relationship.
WORK WITH US
“Why Should I Reduce My Environmental Impact? It’s Just a Drop in the bucket”
The problem of the Climate Crisis is much bigger than just changing our personal behavior. This is why we need Collective Action. It is the foundation for cultural change, and we need that to put pressure on the big polluters and decision-makers.
But here’s the catch…
Collective Action happens when community members come together to advocate for an issue that is important to each of them. Something they are already working on and invested in individually.
So, in other words:
Individual Action -> Collective Action -> Cultural Change
It all begins with YOU.
I’m not saying that everyone needs to become an activist. But if more of us are singing the same song, even a little bit, it will all add up.
Oh, also, reducing your impact saves you LOTS of money! You like that, right?
Making impactful, lasting change is easier if we understand the Systems at play. As my client, your learning will be grounded around this stuff!
