LEARNING IN YOUR BACKYARD

STEWARDSHIP & CLIMATE JUSTICE AT HOME

  • Sign up for this offering if you are making yard improvements and need an expert to guide you, teach you the skills, how to use tools, or just be with you in community as we take action to heal our spaces.

  • Despite fences and barriers, our yards are not isolated or static spaces. They are alive! And they are part of the larger urban ecosystem. Urban wildlife is struggling to hold on due to habitat loss, and your yard can be part of the solution. A space where they can find shelter, food, and respite.

  • And guess what? This work will also be a channel for you to connect with nature and feel empowered. This work is Climate Action.

  • The guidance will be framed around the Key Sustainability Areas.
