Integrating Seasonal Foods into Everyday Meals
Cooking and eating seasonal food can be a practice that brings joyful attunement to nature and her rhythms.
It can also be a great way to support local food producers and help to reduce our environmental impact.
Join us for a fun and interactive workshop celebrating creative ways to incorporate seasonal foods on your plate!
In this class, we will:
Discuss the impacts of our food system and incentives to improve it
Address common barriers to seasonal eating
Learn tips and tricks to adapt recipes throughout the seasons
Share ideas and resources for planning meals using locally grown ingredients
This class will include:
Group discussion
Tour through the garden
Menu planning exercise
Hands-on cooking demonstration and tasting.
Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations. Please dress for the weather.
