IT’S TREE TUESDAY!

HANDS ON πŸ‘ WE LEARN ABOUT TREES AND URBAN FOREST 🌳🌲🌳🌲

We learn how to care for them and tend the plants that love to climb them! Sometimes too much πŸ˜…

Depending on the season, we also practice tree planting, pruning, harvesting, and soil tending.

This a land and culture tending practice. An ongoing series to learn the process and be in relationship. Guided by indigenous and Social Forestry principals. In collaboration with Green Seattle Partnership πŸ’šπŸŒ²

Trillium offers this justice-oriented container as an opportunity to build connections, learn, practice, heal, create, and weave resilient communities anchored in land and water.

THIS PROJECT IS FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN:

  • Learning the skills of forest and watershed stewardship and restoration.

  • Learning how to nurture a reciprocal relationship with land.

  • Weaving a resilient community.

  • Cultivating a sense of place.

  • Learning about the ecology of this region and how to connect with and recognize flora and fauna.

  • Taking meaningful action towards climate, land, and social justice.

PREPARE YOURSELF!

  • We will be moving through some brush, uneven surfaces, and slopes. Dress for the occasion! Sturdy shoes for sure!

  • We will have tools, but also invite you to bring the gloves and tools you feel comfortable with.

This event is free to all

In collaboration with Green Seattle Partnership
